What is a ready to hire driver?

Ready to hire means that the driver has already been recruited, sold on working for your company, DOT reports and documents pulled and reviewed to your hiring standards and is simply waiting for your team to book their travel to your orientation. Our team will do every step of the hiring process until it is time to arrange travel. You will receive a qualified, screened and ready to work driver and the full set of DOT reports. (MVR, PSP, CDLIS, SSNV, DAC, Clearinghouse query and Criminal background check) Click here to view an example of a Driver Candidate Profile that you will receive.

Who is doing the recruiting?

Every carrier we work with is assigned a recruiter, or recruiters (depending on volume), who works exclusively to hire drivers for you. Each recruiter has been trained on our proven sales cadence process and has achieved results of at least 15 hires in a month with a 3% or better lead to hire rate. Our team ranges from 3 months to 15 years of transportation experience, but it is the adherence to the process, metrics and KPIs each and every day, that sets our team apart.

What’s included in the service?

  • Advertising costs.
  • Unlimited phone, text and email interactions with the leads.
  • Ordering and screening of MVR, PSP, CDLIS, SSNV, DAC, Clearinghouse and Criminal check.
  • A neatly wrapped up ready to hire driver, with full documents, waiting for your next orientation.
  • A Professional Driver Quality Assessment (PDQA), outlining the strenghts and needs of your new driver. View an example.
  • We can supplement your recruiting department, or help you replace part or all of it.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is always customized specifically to your driver profile. We will happily provide you fair and transparent pricing based on your experience needs, job type, hiring qualifications and hiring area.

Can you do the travel arrangements too?

Yes, for an additional 15% admin fee, on top of the direct cost of travel, we can help your team arrange travel via plane, bus, taxi or rental car to get the drivers to your door. We can not book rental cars for your hires though unless you have a corporate account with the rental car company. Contact us today to discuss all the possibilities.

How may drivers can you find me and how fast?

  • Volume is not an issue for us, but we will give you an honest assessment after talking through your hiring qualifications, hiring area and job details. We have hired up to 75 drivers for one carrier in a month.
  • It takes a minimum of 2 weeks to build a proper queue of qualified candidates. If we need to add additional staff to your project, that timeline will be longer. We expect to be able to place our first drivers with any new carrier within the first 3-4 weeks max.

Is there a minimum?

In most cases, we work best with carriers who need 15 or more drivers every month. Our recruiter training and sales cadence is designed to build up and qualify drivers consistently. This allows us to properly focus on your needs. If you are looking for 1-2 drivers, we may still be able to help you with a non-exclusive recruiter, where we can put your opportunity into our database and if the right match comes up, sell them on your job.

Do you re-recruit my drivers?

  • We will never call a driver we place with you and offer them another job. We do have one check-in call with each hired driver after their first week, to ensure that our recruiting process set their expectations properly and aligned with everything your team presented to them throughout orientation. If a driver leaves your company and contacts us, they must wait 3 months before we will attempt to place them again.
  • Drivers do have the ability to engage with the CDLScore community and win prizes, follow our podcast and continue their online education if they desire.

Is there a guarantee?

We guarantee a driver will remain with you for a minimum of 30 days. If a CDLScore driver leaves your company before then, you may be eligible for a replacement, free of charge. There are exceptions depending on the reason for the separation (dedicated route is cancelled, company downsizing, etc), which will be discussed and agreed upon before we begin.

Is a CDLScore recognized by the FMCSA, DOT or Insurance?

No, we are not a government agency or an insurance carrier. We are working with some of the insurance carriers in the industry to acknowledge the CDLScore and a carriers’ commitment to benchmarking and screening your drivers.

Do drivers with a CDLScore perform better?

  • Drivers who have engaged with CDLScore do show an increased professionalism in their job. Furthermore, drivers who have chosen the online training modules are better prepared to succeed in their roles with you. On average, CDLScore drivers, in the top 35% of our database, remain on the job 24% longer and perform 32% more efficiently.
  • CDLScore does not make any promise or guarantee of the safety performance of your drivers. Our process allows us to help identify drivers with professional tendencies, but is not designed to predict accident occurrence/recurrence and should not be a replacement for your internal safety department.
